How to Meet Medicaid Work Requirements
Some adults on Medicaid in Rhode Island will have to meet new federal work requirements starting in 2027. To get or keep your Medicaid coverage, you may need to report your income, work, education, volunteering, or an exemption.
If you are enrolled in Medicaid and receiving TANF and meeting TANF work requirements or are part of a household receiving SNAP and subject to SNAP work requirements, you do not have to meet Medicaid work requirements.
