Fraud happens when a person makes false statements, or misrepresents facts or circumstances to the Department of Human Services to illegally get cash assistance (RI Works), food assistance (SNAP), child care assistance (CCAP), general public assistance (GPA), long term care (LTC), child support services, rehabilitative services, veterans benefits, or Medicaid.

Report Beneficiary Fraud or Misuse

To report provider fraud, contact the Medicaid Office of Program Integrity at (401) 462-6503. You can also call the Medicaid Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Tip Line at (401) 462-6503. Alternatively, you can use the Medicaid Fraud, Waste and Program Abuse Tipline at 877-DMA-TIP1 (877-362-8471).
